Parks & Gardens Coordinator

Full-time position based in Swan Hill.

Applications are invited for the position of Parks and Gardens Coordinator within the Engineering Services – Works, a Program of the Swan Hill Rural City Council. Reporting to the Works Manager this position is responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of the Parks and Gardens, Recreation Reserve, Aerodrome, Concrete and Drainage Maintenance Teams.

Council requires an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead our Parks and Gardens team. This position requires well developed communication skills, both verbal and written as well as experience in contract management and supervision, budget preparation and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of equal employment opportunity and occupational health and safety.

To be successful in this role you should have experience that demonstrates a high level of knowledge and leadership in the Parks and

Horticulture industry, project management or equivalent tertiary qualifications.

A current Driver’s License and White Card are also required.

Salary

Approximately $88,900 per annum (inclusive of overtime and call out allowance), plus 10% superannuation and other employment benefits including uniform allowance, commuter use of vehicle, training and development, annual leave loading at 17.5% and provision of protective clothing
