Planning Officer

Full-time position based in Swan Hill.

At Swan Hill Rural City Council we’re looking for innovative positive people to join our team to deliver great outcomes for the community and the development industry.

Your role will include processing of planning permit and subdivision applications, planning for the future by preparation of Planning Scheme amendments, carrying out site inspections for proposed developments and liaising with community members and developers to achieve great outcomes.

With formal qualifications in Town Planning, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, time management and knowledge of relevant Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practices relating to the position. Your ability to liaise with the general community is key to your success in this role.

A current Police Check, no longer than 6 months old is essential for this position.

Salary

Attracting approximately $76,986 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a permanent full time position.
