This collection of new works seeks to document the restorations of the significant ecological, cultural and archaeological Barapa Barapa people’s site of the Pollack Swamp. Located between Barham and Swan Hill in a flora reserve in the Gunbower-Koondrook-Perricoota Forest icon site, it is locally known as The Pollack, the name is derived from the Barapa Barapa work Pulitj, meaning swamp. an ongoing archaeological and environmental project driven by Dan Hutton of Forests NSW has seen surveys undertaken, and water delivered in an attempt to rehabilitate this micro riverine habitat, which includes significant Aboriginal village sites and colonial bird breeding habitats.
