Calling all local musicians! A Taste of Tamworth will hit the Swan Hill Town Hall stage next month and needs a local support act.
That’s right – headline act Carter & Carter are on the hunt for a local artist or band to open for this group of Tamworth country music award winners.
Council’s Venue and Performing Arts Manager Yvette Myhill urged local musos to not miss out on this incredible opportunity.
“Carter & Carter are passionate about encouraging emerging artists and showcasing local talent,” Ms Myhill said.
“It’s not every day you get to open for multi award winning artist. And in a venue as large as the Town Hall with a professional performing arts sound and lighting system, and a dedicated sound/lighting engineer – it really is an awesome opportunity.”
The guest spot is for a local emerging artist to perform one song at the beginning of the show and to join in for the finale.
What you need to submit to be considered:
- A video link or audio recording of the song you would like to perform (and a brief idea of why you chose the song).
- A promotional image.
- A brief bio describing who you are and what you have done so far.
Applicants should then email the required information to info@carter-carter.com. Entries close at 5pm on 13 July.
